MADELINE BURR is a Brooklyn based artist from Houston, Texas. She began her classical training in Houston at the High School for Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). From there, Madeline attended George Mason University under scholarship, where she received her BFA in May of 2020. At Mason, Madeline was involved in works by Kyle Abraham, Rafael Bonachela, Susan Shields and Andonis Foniadakis, as well as being a part of and choreographing many student works. Over summers, she had the opportunity to study with DanceWorks Chicago, Hubbard Street Summer Intensive, VIM VIGOR, and OBOC Countertechnique intensive in Montréal, Quebec. Since moving to New York, she has been doing freelance work around the city and Brooklyn, including performances with Vivake Khamsingsavath as a part of the NYC Art Movement. Madeline is excited to be starting a new chapter with ACPW!
